Your employees bear the load of keeping the company running. They are the reason customers return, give your business personality, and build credibility. 01. — Focus on your Overview

Begin by documenting where you are as a business and where you want to be in the future. What makes you unique? At this point, your value proposition and mission statement will play a key role. If, for instance, you are focused on offering a competitive price point or providing a particular dining experience, these details will be necessary for any other future communication.

02. — Assemble your Team

Who is your audience? The most critical part of any communication plan is defining the audience. Determine who your internal and external audiences are. What are their concerns, priorities and the mode of communication that would best suit them?   • Recognition of individual or department accomplishments
  • Communication on any possible changes
  • Introducing a door-to-door service

04. — Determine the Most Ideal Mode of Communication

Before sharing your information, it is worth focusing on the different sets of age groups hired. Recognizing the different generations there are and defining the best channel for communication should help you tailor the message appropriately. For Gen Z, for instance, digital communication is second nature. Your older employees will be delighted to get a decent phone call or email.

05. — Define your Communication Objectives

Whether your aim is to persuade, clarify, or inform, design your objectives from the point of your audience. If, for instance, there is a new structure coming up, what information is necessary for each team, and what do you expect them to do?

06. — Set the Communication Calendar

When do you plan on sending out the message? Your communication calendar should give you a lead on when your employees will receive the message. When something occurs, you could plan to send updates. Any other communication can be sent out regularly or when need be, such as unplanned events. With a calendar, it will be easy to know what goes out at what point because it gives a sense of consistency in communication.

07. — Get feedback

One of the easiest and quickest means of assessing engagement and the responsiveness of your employees is carrying out a survey. It is one of the best ways for involving your employees and making a big difference in communication. As you engage your workforce, you will also get a few ideas on what needs to be improved.
